The club held a Special General Meeting at the Comrades' Club on Thursday 27th August 2009 to reconsider the decision taken at the AGM in April on how to proceed if an odd number of pairs were present when the club was intending to play Teams. 39 Members were present. The following motion was proposed by Keith Robbins and seconded by Keith Sadler:
"The committee shall designate six evenings a year on which teams events shall be held. The dates of these evenings shall be announced and approved by the club at the Annual General Meeting.
"Players should ensure that they are part of a team when they attend the club on designated teams evenings, since odd pairs cannot be accommodated."
A vote was taken, and the motion was approved nem. con.
